Air Way Manufacturing: A Year in Review
Expansion into North Carolina
We expanded our business by investing in a Hydra-Flex Hose and Fittings Solutions Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. The new facility will serve as a Hydra-Flex hydraulic hose assembly location and stocking facility for our hydraulic fittings and adapters. The expansion will help us support OEM manufacturers and hydraulic application customers in this region by providing them with the same level of customer service and production we always have, just faster.
Staff Repositioning
Mark Place became the Vice President of Business Development and Brian Clever now serves as the Vice President of Quality. By re-focusing Air-Way’s expertise and enhancing our global presence, we have positioned ourselves for market expansion and a more comprehensive customer experience.
We Put the Environment First
In 2016 we began the process of achieving an ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management Certification. By receiving this certification, Air-Way global manufacturing will become more resource efficient, reduce waste and reassure customers that all environmental standards are being met. Our goal is to offer a cutting-edge advantage over our competition and establish a greater sense of trust and environmental sustainability with our customer base.
CAT Supplier Certification
This year we received bronze certification through Caterpillar’s Supplier Quality Excellence Process. We received this distinction by demonstrating our commitment to excellence, product quality and shipping performance (just to name a few of the many performance standards we were measured against). It’s a tall feather in our cap and something that was earned based on a year’s worth of exceeding expectations.
Achieved Partner-Level Status by John Deere
We are very excited to share that just recently, Air-Way achieved Partner-level status as a supplier to the John Deere Construction and Forestry Division. This is John Deere’s highest supplier rating and very difficult to receive. We were measured against quality, delivery, wavelength, technical support, and cost management criteria. This rating represents a major milestone for Air-Way and is something that truly makes us one-of-a-kind.
A Continued Track Record of Success
This year brought with it a continued adherence to the Air-Way Manufacturing ideals centered around design customization, collaboration, quality manufacturing and excellence in customer service. We recently released a case study providing our customers with an example of exactly what we are known for – developing innovative solutions to tough manufacturing challenges without sacrificing time and productivity.
